A Special Tribute to the Legendary Frankie Knuckles, The Godfather of House Music and Dear Friend by Stephie Pahlavi Zan

Frankie was a very near and dear friend. He was kind enough to offer to be My DJ for My Birthday / Welcome back from Europe Party at the legendary and over the top club, The Roxy.
He kept My party going seamlessly from night into morning. The place was packed with My 6,000+ guests...and Everyone was in the clouds, because it was a fabulous night. Everything was simply perfect that night. Frankie spun like never before!
The invitations were beautiful. On the front was  a photograph of Me shot by another huge legend, who did all the Cosmopolitan Magazine Covers, Francesco Scavullo! The photograph itself is a work of art. But pair that with the fact that it was from The Jean-Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer Collection. Simultaneously JP was responsible for all of the costumes for Madonna's, "Blond Ambition" Tour. So needless to say I hung out with Madonna and her dancers in Paris. They were all in NYC for My party.....dancing and playing with Me the entire night.
The VIP room was an impossible to get into. It was full of My celebrity friends and security was extra high. Everyone enjoyed the VIP room , as well as descending down to the main ad huge Roxy dance floor. It was a night to be remembered. Everybody who was anybody was there. (And there were a lot of miserable and unsuccessful people outside in front of the ropes begging to be permitted into this Special and rare Celebration. Invitation only.
Frankie was with flawless. He was full of energy and motivation to please the enormous crowd....and he succeeded!
I had to keep going up to the VIP room because it was so packed that it was difficult to move around downstairs .....even with Security circling us. But I had to make
I love appearances throughout the club to greet my guests.....well as many as I could! Lol!
I feel so blessed that this special night was totally amazing with Frankie at the turn tables.
Frankie was a humble and down to earth man.  He never gave the shade that other well known DJ's had. Frankie was a secure and naturally talented genius of house music.
May Frankie rest in peace......I miss you Frankie.....thank you for leaving your awesome creations / mixes behind for us to forever enjoy and adding a prodigious mark on House Music.
No one will ever be like Frankie. He had a distinctive style that can not be duplicated.
I have had a charmed life.
I'm glad to have had such a wonderful friendship with the King of House Music!
Thank you for my spectacular memories....especially My Fabulous Party!
I love you my buddy.....always.......

Love and Respect Always,

Stephie Pahlavi Zan
